Do I need an internet connection or a subscription to use it?
No. ApexLedgerPro runs locally on your computer and does not require an internet connection. There are no recurring subscription fees – the Free Edition is free to download, and the Founder Edition is a one‑time purchase.
What is the difference between the Free and Founder Editions?
The Free Edition includes core accounting features such as the ledger, transactions, invoices, bills, expenses and basic reporting. The Founder Edition unlocks additional tools like Ask Apex (an AI copilot), planning and budgeting, tax estimation and forecasting.
Where is my data stored?
All of your data stays on your own computer. ApexLedgerPro is offline‑first, so your financial records are kept locally and you maintain full control over your information.
What is Ask Apex?
Ask Apex is an AI‑powered copilot available in the Founder Edition. It allows you to ask natural‑language questions about your business data and receive instant insights, making complex financial analysis more accessible.
